If you do your drawing on a light weight sheet of paper, you can place your drawing over a textured surface and color over it. Try all sorts of textures. Coins, cloth, rugs, just be sure you don’t poke through your paper!
I found a texture plate with a scallop or scaly pattern. I chose a light color and colored in the whole wolf.

Making sure the texture plate was under where I was coloring, I used different colors to finish the wolf skin. Maybe I should have done polka dots?
Have fun. Try the bottom of your shoes for a sole-ful look! (Ouch that’s a bad joke!)
